Sometimes I wonder, as I sit in the silence of the evening, is this the life I used to kick my mother’s womb for?

I used to think life would be clearer. More just. Perhaps more romantic. I used to think everything would happen like in the movies: we grow up, we fall in love, we find someone who resembles us, and we move confidently toward a great meaning called “happiness.” But I grew up a little and discovered that life does not come arranged; it comes like short, incomplete messages. Perhaps because the conscience is not easily deceived, even if we deceive the whole world.

Many faces passed through my life. Some loved me in their own way, and some passed like a light breeze. But those who touched my heart did something very simple: they noticed my small details. My awkwardness when I get nervous. My silence when I am sad. The way I move my hand while explaining…
