“I have worked in various fields since I graduated from university: charitable organizations, cultural organizations, libraries, translation… Oh, I forgot, before all that, a meat factory where everyone raced the machines, finishing one task to start another. We were all in a hurry, and you might see some workers tired and some sweating. As for me, the more my energy increased, the more my hair turned into a messy hairstyle, as if it were a nest for birds… This is how the pace of work leaves its mark on everyone except for one of our colleagues nicknamed ‘the lazy’.”

“It’s strange that this lazy person had no problems with the factory management; on the contrary, most of the supervisors praised him. Perhaps that is a cause for wonder, but let me explain the matter to you.”

Bill Gates says, “I will choose the lazy person to do the hardest jobs because they will find an easy way to do it.” I have literally noticed this in the case of this lazy colleague… So how do they find easier ways to accomplish the hardest tasks?

“They exploit others to do their work on their behalf; it seems mean, but it is a core skill in work.”

“They always ask for help instead of relying on themselves, which saves them time in learning from others’ mistakes.”
