I don’t know why I listen to the radio and don’t watch television, perhaps because it allows your eyes to see what’s going on in your mind. Today I was listening to many stations, most of which talked about the war in Palestine and what’s going on in Israel. The news made me think deeply until I returned to the era of the ancient Greeks, who left us various sayings. Wisdom, wondrous myths, and eloquent tales. I remembered this funny Greek story: Pericles was the supreme ruler of Athens. One day he held his little son’s hands and said to him: My son, be merciful to this big world. You control your mother, and your mother controls me, and I rule Athens, and Athens rules the world, so be kind, my son, to this big world.

All of this crossed my mind while I was listening to the radio about the current crisis in the Middle East. Russian President Putin addressed Netanyahu, asking him not to interfere in Syrian affairs. Netanyahu replied that he would strike any Iranian concentration in Syria. They asked Netanyahu: What would you do if Iran responded by attacking Israel? He said: The days of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will be numbered!

What is common in Israel, and as everyone knows, is that Netanyahu does not fear anyone except his wife, whom he loves very much. As for a situation like this, we have no choice but to plead with her and say: Madam Netanyahu, be gentle with this spacious world. You rule Prime Minister Netanyahu, Netanyahu rules Israel, Israel rules the Zionist lobby in America, and this lobby rules the policies of the American president, the American president rules America, and America rules the world. So take it easy, Madam Netanyahu, in this big world!
