“A friend told me a story of a love that he experienced and ended; he is a calm, dignified man and an artist with a lot of facial handsomeness and also the handsomeness of the heart, when he started talking, all the details were wonderful and romantic from the first meeting and the following months until the final scene.”

He told me she was a beautiful girl, but he knew from the beginning that when a man tells her “I love you”, she gets annoyed and runs away from him. So he waited a long time until Valentine’s Day came, took her to a wonderfully romantic place, and had some friends help him prepare a huge sign that would drop in front of her as they left the restaurant after dinner, on which he wrote: “I love you.”

The loud confessions of love appear to me as huge emotions, something wonderful that will be etched deeply in my memory, even though I used to hate them before. But now, I have become more aware that life is short, and we may need a great story to boast about to our friends, ourselves occasionally, and later to our grandchildren.

We return to the story of my friend and his girlfriend: I was silent, watching eagerly for her reaction after each romantic detail he prepared, like special music, red roses, and a giant sign, all to convince a girl to love you seems wonderful and she appears lucky.
