Life is no longer simple with all its details and daily routines, despite the recent technological advancements that have elevated the quality of life to a level of luxury. However, as we move in this direction, we find ourselves more preoccupied and tired. Life, in terms of quantity, has become good, but in terms of quality, it is not. Our minds are constantly busy with many issues, some trivial and some important, but they keep us busy all the time, causing us a lot of Absent-mindedness.
The absent-mindedness has accompanied many geniuses and artists. We have the famous British writer Gilbert Chesterton who received a financial check and went to the post office to collect it. He stood in line and when it was his turn to receive the check at the window, he discovered that he had forgotten his name!! He quickly asked the employee, saying: “Excuse me, sir!.. Do you know my name!”
We have another genius who forgot to attend his own wedding because he was busy in the lab conducting one of his many experiments. He is the American Edison, who doesn’t know him.
What does that mean? Does it mean that we are all geniuses as long as we have experienced situations similar to them? I hope the answer is ((yes)), but unfortunately, it is not so with a simple analysis. I expect that the fast-paced lifestyle has created a lot of chaos in our minds, which has led to moments of mental and visual emptiness. We go far away where we don’t hear or see. I remember one time I called a friend on the phone, and a soft female voice answered. I asked about him, saying: Is he there? The velvety female voice replied: Yes, he is here but asleep. At that moment it seemed that I really went into absent-mindedness, the line remained open and the woman kept repeating, “Hello, are you there?” I say to you, he is there but he is asleep. Suddenly I regained my attention and quickly answered her: Yes yes, when he wakes up, just let him wake me up.!
