However, I chose not to buy new clothes this year as a gesture of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza. The ongoing human tragedy and the mourning of over fifty thousand martyrs did not allow me to celebrate with new attire or put on heavy makeup while so many till to date are suffering .
